COVID Mobility Works eDialogue “Unheard Voices: Community Planning in a Socially Distant World” - 29 July
As regions around the world imposed stay-at-home orders, mobility systems were adapted int the name of public health and safety. With action needed quickly and many people sequestered at home or busy performing essential duties, typical community engagement practices were reduced and some community needs overlooked. How is community engagement impacted by a crisis and what modifications are necessary to better reach marginalized and underserved populations?

The conversation will explore challenges related to:
- Community engagement during COVID-19
- Equitable quantitative and qualitative data gathering strategies
- Visibility of informal networks

Panelists (updated upon confirmation)
- Yves Mathieu, Missions Publique
- Hana Creger, The Greenlining Institute
- Noé Noyola, MIG

Moderated by Sandra Caballero and Mary Loane, WEF

The eDialogue “Unheard Voices: Community Planning in a Socially Distant World” is part of an ongoing series supporting conversations inspired by mobility responses featured in COVID Mobility Works. This eDialogue is co-hosted by the World Economic Forum’s Global New Mobility Coalition, which seeks to accelerate the transition to shared, electric and autonomous mobility (SEAM) solutions for addressing resiliency and sustainability, and the Inclusivity Quotient Project, which seeks to elevate inclusive mobility solutions as assets for socioeconomic development for marginalized and underserved populations.
